食物栄養学科の「国際栄養コース」では、希望者は海外研修旅行（行き先はニュージーランド・韓国・ヨーロッパ）に参加して、栄養について国際的に学ぶことができます。
今日のブログは、海外研修旅行の引率を担当されていますケント先生からのメッセージです。
From September 7th PCR tests will no longer be required for vaccinated international travelers when entering Japan. This was a major hurdle for those in Japan wanting to travel overseas. As Japan continues to relax international travel rules we are more optimistic than ever our study abroads, an integral part of our International Nutrition course, will resume in 2023. All our study abroads; New Zealand, Korea, and Europe, are designed to let our students experience different cultures while broadening their first-hand knowledge of international nutrition, food, and health trends. We look forward to resuming the study abroads and hope you’ll take advantage of these unique experiences to broaden your horizons.

9月7日より、ワクチン接種を受けた海外旅行者の日本入国時のPCR検査が不要になります。ＰＣＲ検査は、海外旅行をしたい人にとって大きなハードルでした。 日本が海外渡航規則を緩和し続けているため、国際栄養コースに不可欠な海外研修は、2023年に再開される予定です。 ニュージーランド、韓国、ヨーロッパでの研修は、学生がさまざまな文化を体験できるように計画されており、国際的な栄養学、食品、健康に関する実体験に基づいた知識を広げます。海外研修が再開されることを楽しみにしています。この他とない経験を生かし、視野を広げてください。

「経験から得た知識」のことを「first-hand knowledge」っていうんですね。
新型コロナ感染症の影響で、2020年以降は海外研修が実施できていませんが、2023年こそは学生の皆さんがfirst-hand knowledgeを得る貴重な機会が復活することを願っています。
